Pray Two Rakat Behind Maqam Ibrahim
Tawaf is done. Pray two rakats. In the first rakat, read Surah Al-Kafirun. In the second rakat, read Surah al-Ikhlas. This prayer is to thank Allah.
Drink Zamzam Water
Now drink Zamzam water. Have the intention of being well and having mercy and blessing from Allah.
Say this dua:
“Allahumma inni as’aluka ‘ilman nafi’an, wa rizqan wasi’an, wa shifa’an min kulli da’.”

Going Sa i Between Safa and Marwah
Sa’i is to walk between the hills of Safa and Marwah seven times.
To start at Safa, say :
Innas-Safa wal-Marwah min sha a irillah.
(Safah and Marwah are some of the symbols of Allah.)
Then say :
“Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar.”
Make dua from your heart.
Walk slowly and think of the hard work of Hajar AS.
Men can jog lightly between the green lights and follow the old way.
Say your duas, dhikr, and prayers for guidance and luck, and for forgiveness all through Sa i.
Cut or Trim Hair
The last step in the umrah is to cut or trim the hair.
- Men: For men, they shave their heads or trim their heads evenly.
- Women: For women, cut a small part (about an inch) from the end of their hair.
After cutting the hair, you come out of the state of Iram, and the Umrah ends.
